Ambroise is a young marquis living in the city of Marseille, France. As the first well-documented and noble albino in the region (and possibly all of Europe), he is the obsession of the whole Roman Catholic clergy. This constant attention has affected him greatly; he truly believes he is an angel. He is as lacking in ethics and as bloodthirsty as an angel, anyway.
He has no regard for his fellow humans. He cares, only, for art, and wishes desperately to be as much of an icon as Jesus Himself. It must be said, however, that for all his cruelty, he is a naïve child at heart. He does not realize how pitiful he truly is; how malleable.
