Delirium is an undoubtedly pleasant state to live one's life in. Being incapable of discerning fantasy from reality has its own kind-of godhood about it; whatever comes to mind is as good as true. However, a constant penchant for believing personally-constructed lies is taxing on the soul. And-- should the illusion break, if for only a second-- the occurence is unbearable. Nikolae Ruzicka is a person bound to his own falsehoods. Oscillating between obsession and disinterest-- between unabashed love and loathing-- he refuses to admit defeat.
