Simon is a very quiet individual. He thinks himself painfully average, incapable of doing anything great or ever comparing to his peers. However, he has a deep fascination with the macabre and a great desire to fit in with the world of academia, and so he spends his time unhealthily obsessing over old literature and history, as well as dark subjects such as death. After enrolling in Coltrous University and somehow getting an in with a group of mysterious scholars there, his personality shifts, and he descends into a dangerously gloomy force of nature.
He struggles greatly with hallucinations, which only seem to ('coincidentally') worsen as his relationship with the guild becomes deeper. They reassure him, however, saying that it's only his eyes opening to the world of Anaism.
