[09/01/2025] ☞ jackmouth (ramble) ☞ i can not emphasize enough how shitty the law enforcement in jackmouth is. perhaps there is a reason for this almost deliberate irresponsibilty? perhaps they don't want to step in. perhaps they're only there to spectate-- to sit back, take notes, and see what happens.
this is all, of course, to say that the mayor knows about pyotr's misdeeds. she knows of the underground boxing ring. she knows of the goings on within ol' finneas. she isn't interested in retribution, and neither are the people who employ her. jackmouth exists only as a cage for the zoo animal named niko.
[08/19/2025] ☞ i think people often mistake my interest in controversial or dark subjects as support for them. either that, or i am compared to those true crime makeup channels, which i abhor. for example, the story of bōdyäch is a work of historical fiction, but it's not entirely serious; it exists as a kind of black satire in the same realm as jojo rabbit. of course, this has been misinterpreted as a mockery of wwii, or whatever. it's a shame that knee-jerk morality oftentimes prevents people from actually learning history or reckoning with it properly.
[07/28/2025] ☞ greenshore (ramble) ☞ liam and jax's relationship is MESSY. partially because of their temperments, and partially because the year is 2008 and jax has access to the song "misery business" by paramore. even messier than their relationship- or even liam and aakansha's-- is jax and aakansha's. for lack of a better phrase, they're "frenemies", both throwing cheap insults at each other over a man who is, quite honestly, hardly worth the trouble. c'est la vie.
